			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Etxremely difficult time with this stuff today.&nbsp; Turns out I have Esun brand.</p><p>I think 4mm retraction was my issue, as the heatbreak of the v6 ended up getting clogged half way through the print.</p><p>You really gotta keep this stuff flowing fast!</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>You should be ok with those settings.<br />I use Fillamentum Timberfill these days, seems a bit easier to print.<br />I have retraction set at 4mm as you get a lot of stringing with it, I would think Woodfill will be similar.</p>]]></content>

Just stop trying to control it and don&#039;t worry about what it does. It will not hurt your print for it to run all the time.</p>]]></content>

I think your confusion is with what people say about PLA. With PLA they recommend you turn your layer fan off for the first one or two layers. This is for PLA only. For ABS you can but normally dont use a layer fan. The Da Vinci 1.0 in stock form unless modified like Scobo did or with a hotend remake can not print PLA and that is why it does not have s layer fan. </p><p>Again the stock fan is to cool the feed tube and extruder so heat soak does not make it hot enough to prematurely melt filament and cause grinding or jams.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>As Carl says, it won&#039;t affect your prints anyway so there&#039;s no advantage in turning it off.<br />Although, I turn mine off in order to get the extruder up to temp quicker then turn it on as soon as it reaches the required temp.</p>]]></content>
