Unfortunately I can think of several reasons why we can NOT do this.
Respect for the privacy of users comes to mind.

dont think thats an issue if I already know their email. and i tried the st Louis thing but not everybody completes profile info so.

I dropped several groups from my list due to them making all member info including emails available to anyone including spam bots just looking at member list. but I was just saying if we know an email of somebody we know maybe we could search by email without listing emails in members list. just a thought. didnt know how the forum settings work, as many are different. but Facebook dont publish emails and still makes them searchable to locate people you know to make friend request.

You will get hits for anyone who has it in their profile, displayed under their name in posts.  Add a -n2ri to exclude yourself.
