Have you any progress with support material and the Workbench?
Would HIPS not print at all at 228-229?  I have a Workbench and this was exactly the reason I bought it as well.

I ordered a pair of ed3 heads and I'll replace the default one - so no, sorry, didn't really test with hips and the default heads

Hips usually prints @ 230-250 - I imagine it could probably work at 228/229 - just be sure to run a small test before (usually the print head goes 1-2 degrees above/over the set temperature - and the workbench will just "block" at 230 degrees - you wouldn't want that to happen during a print - just set the temperature of the head and leave it running for 5-10 minutes).

This week-end I had some time to play with the Workbench a bit more (TLDR; and ended up playing with another printer in the end)

The printer part seems well built and sturdy, metal and solid rods. The print head is a minus for me as it only goes to 230 - so hips is out of the question.
Side-story: the main reason I bought this printer was to make some complicated prints with support material, either hips or pva. hips prints at 235 and pva is so soft that I've had problems putting it in the print head - it actually goes towards the side and makes a loop - not funny !
I've made some prints with pla and the result was quite good (.2 mm but still nice):

Ah, yes. We have not yet created a new installer for Mac, only Windows. It should hopefully be coming soon. For now you can set everything manually:

X max - 336
Y max - 305
Print area - 305 for all

Hi,
Is there somewhere I can get some Workbench-specific documentation? Or are there some threads that have all the info embedded? I just got my machine over the weekend, but I want to make sure to put everything together correctly, like the mounting of the power supply and what I'm assuming are the spool holders. I've got a few 3D printers, but this is my first solidoodle. Any getting started guide or instructions for the workbench (with settings for other programs like Matter Control & S3D) would be awesome!

What are the Workbench's connection settings? Are they the same as the Press?

230C? If we print the ABS parts in a better material can we override that temperature limit?

How do we go about getting the STL's for the carriages, fan shroud, etc? I'd love to be able to get these files without having to resort to reverse engineering them with calipers.

I plan to 3D print these parts in a more heat resistant material on a Form1+ or another 3D printer.

The connection settings are the same for all models. If you use our installer it will have everything configured already.

The extruder temperature is limited by the PEEK barrel.

We do not release the models for the printed parts.

Just a reminder, making changes to the firmware or hardware may void any warrantys.
