1) Circle problems may be due to belt tension issues which is usually a 1 minute fix *fingers crossed*
2) Soliprint is so new, everyone is bound to run into multiple bugs. Run RH if possible.
3) Sounds may be due to clogging (doubtful if it is so new), or excessive extrusion. Like REALLY over extruding. I have seen than from improper speed settings.

Can you post a clear video to give everyone a better understanding of the sound?

sound seems to be coming from the extruder but it goes away and then comes back which is odd. And the Z calibration i cant even get it to run because by the time the printer has heated up i will loose connection with it in soliprint and have to keep resetting the printer to get the program to reconize it. Also noticed on my 2nd print which was a fail that the circles are not perfect. They more or less look like ovals?

Where's the odd sound coming from?

I can't seem to get mine calibrate and its making some odd noises I think I'm going to request a refund and send it back completely bummed right now

I'd like to see a pic for the rubber band as well. I ziptied the harness to the motor at the center back but I think a rubber band off the lid might be a better solution.

I've been going back and forth between the soliprint and Repetier-Host programs and they do seem to get confused with finding the printer somewhat. Every time I've had an issue though if I close the open program then restart the printer, then restart the program it works.

How are your prints? it seems like i need to adjust my Z axis again because my prints are getting the print head imprinted in them, also can kinda hear the extruder clicking while printing. Trial and Error until i get used to this!

How did you mount the rubber band?

Also keep having issues with soliprint finding the printer. its showing up in my device manager under Com ports and LTP, but soliprint just says searching for printers...

Yeah, I had the same Issue, but I downloaded the Serial driver, and all working now. Odd, cause the machine would connect, and heat, but not respond to home etc. All good now. Also had a problem with the harness being crushed when it homes to Y, in the way, so I made a rubber band harness hanger to lift up out of the way, and works much better now and has not happened again.

I just did it again and now its working. I was getting issues with it not wanting to connect or showing up as a USB device and not a com port. Seems good now just waiting for the bed to heat up and I'll be doing my first print

did you happen to install the serial driver from http://support.solidoodle.com/hc/en-us/ … ng-Drivers - dunno if it'd help in your case but I had to manually install it.

The press keeps showing up in device manager under USB ports and is Uknown USB device ( Device Descriptor Request Failed) I have windows 8 and for some reason i am having no luck. Soliprint picked the printer up once and i managed to get the printer to heat up but after that no commands would work, i couldent extrude or anything. i shut down my pc and the printer and now im getting the error above.

Am i doing something wrong?
