Hello, I'm new to 3D printing. I got a Da Vinci 1.0 for Christmas. Everything seemed to be working fine until I ran a job near the end of the filament. Before the job was finished I heard the printer banging and saw that the extruder was bumping up against the front of the printer like it didn't know it had reached the end of the line. It was printing way off from where the part was set on the print bed, and from where there would have been any layers to print anyway. The printer also said it was out of filament so I changed the cartridge and found that the extruder was not making contact with the nozzle scraper on the drip box even thought the extruder moved back and forth as if it was scraping.

I tried to calibrate and the printer went through the motions to locate the 3 corners of the bed. When it returned to the drip bed it still didn't make contact with the scraper, but after it was done trying to scrape it tried to move back along the X axis where it ran into the support that holds the Z axes bars in place. The motors kept turning for a few seconds after that. I calibrated again and the extruder found the 3 corners of the bed but didn't return to the drip box. It went to the 4th corner. The bed raised and pressed against the nozzle and lowered back down. The extruder tried to wipe, still over the 4th corner, and then ran into the left side of the printer.

I haven't had a chance to call customer service yet but I thought I'd ask for advice here. This seems like it would be a software or firmware issue, right? Does anyone know what might be the problem and how I can fix it? Thank you for your time.
