I too switch back and forth between Cura Engine and Slic3r.  They slice differently, and definitely generate support material differently.

I tried slicing it with Slic3r, but one of the side gable roofs would not slice properly, so I ended up slicing it with Cura.  My problem with Cura is the support it produces is a pain to remove, especially on tricky prints like this.  In order to support the entire length of the roof edges, It ended up getting between every beam.

The little tables and jars and such were printed separately, along with the base, then the building was glued on the base.
