I always preheat the bed to warm up the build chamber before I start to print.
in the wintertime the laundry room averaged is 55°.
I like the idea of hairspray on the bed to hold the plate. I am going to get the Glass Co.
to drill and cs the 4 corners so I can also use small leaf springs to secure it also.
Hopefully after doing this I will be able to print at 100 Microns like advertised.
I have not made a good 100 micron print since day 1.

It would take a little longer to transfer the heat over the entire surface, but you should be ok.

I've been running on a warped bed for a little over a year now with a mirror. I let the bed heat up and soak for about 5-10mins before hitting print.

With the bed warped that much will the gap affect the hear transfer into the plate?

Spray the bottom of the borosilicate with Aqua Net, then slap it back on.
You will need to cycle the bed heat about 3-5 times. After that it will stick.

Personally, because I like to swap mirrors and clean them every now and then, I stuck a small strip of kapton to act as a "release tab" which works quite well.

My Makerbot 2X bed is warped. It is flat as a pancake when cold. but .007" high in the middle when heated.
I want to switch to printing a Borosilicate glass plate with Kapton. I do not want to use binder clips as I do not want anything
sticking above the glass. I thought about using a high temp glue but the expansion rate between the aluminum bed and the glass are different. I do not plan on taking the plate off between prints. the glass will be .5" bigger than the bed all around. does anyone have any mounting suggestions?
