The hotend and changes i made to the printer works amazing! The cyclops print quality is perfect! 10/10 points from me.

Just a little teaser... More to come in a few days complete with a full set of assembly photos and instructions.
I definitely have some tweaking to really make this thing sing but for now it is functional and successfully completed the first print I tried.
Special thanks to IronMan for the code, Jagowilson for helping sort out the firmware side of things and AZERATE for moral support.

man Im glad I didnt try to get a workbench. Id rather have an SD3 modified into a better version cheaper. what happened to "all new extruders bla bla bla features much improved all metal etc...? Sam is just full of it. guess hes bilked thousands with same ol stuff why change huh. its like SD is stuck in 1st gear on 3D printer improvements. Ill just mod my SD2 and try some other printers for extra jobs. got the basics down after 2 years tweaking my old SD.

The E3Dv6 starts to struggle with PLA at ambient much over 50C.

Even if the enclosure gets to 50C, the airflow from the fan will be a cool breeze compared to extrusion temperatures.

Price, and air cooling (simpler).

How do you level the hotends on a Workbench? Those screws in front of the hotend?

I wish I could tell you how to level the hot ends but SD doesn't have ANY documentation for the Workbench online (and the box literally came with zero printed material) and it seems the E2 (left extruder) output from the mobo is faulty on my machine so I haven't even gotten far enough to level them.

Those hotends look exactly like SD4 hotends.

Yup, that's printrboard (rev E). Standard solidoodle fare. It will support dual v6s, and will also support chimera/cyclops. For the latter, you'd have to go bowden, or redesign the carriage/mount.

A third extruder would require upgrading that expansion board sitting on top of the printrboard, or upgrading the printrboard altogether. This should give you 3 total extruders:

I'd like to print composites of Nylon or PC with Support and possibly a 3rd filament (flexible).
I will enclose the build volume.
Kraken or Chimera?
I've seen the airtripper bowden projects, but what parts would I need to procure to make this happen beyond what is in the kits you sell?
Do you happen to know if a 3rd extruder would be a simple or complicated addition to the Workbench?
