Oh, I see now. I'm surprised the whole carriage is that pliable. I likely bent it while trying to take the nozzle module out when the filament was still loaded, though I didn't think I was being super rough.

I will try that out and report back. Thanks!

Well the extruder carriage is very soft steel, you did the exact same thing I did a month ago ... It missed the calibration nub and barely hit the side tabs ( was bent up and away 1-2 mm)while readjusting I also noticed there was some play so I bent the whole mount down and in more, until there was almost no play. In all directions. A good way to check is to see if you can rock the plastic quick spring loaded release, if it feels like you have a loose screw, you don't it's most likely your mount.

I did have some trouble taking the nozzle module out (took me a while to realize I needed to unload the filament first) and I'm sure I bent the housing a bit like you said (I noticed this because it was a mm or so above the tabs). The main problem is that it's missing the tabs to the side (offset X axis). I'm not sure how to fix that but I will fiddle with the whole mount and see if I can shift something that's not set.

You most likely bent the metal housing removing your nozzle

just rebound gently and you'll hit the tabs, I recommend adjusting above your drip pan until you get it back to it's original posisition.

Make sure there isn't play after final adjustments. rock the whole mount until play is minimal or non-exhistant.

My DaVinci has been serving me fairly well but after taking out the nozzle module so I could clean the extruder wheels, my printer completely misses the metal tab for cleaning off the nozzle, so sometimes it starts printing the purge line with some hanging filament still around from warmup. I triple checked to see that the extruder module was correctly reinstalled but this is really bugging me. I even took it out and put it back in just to be sure.

What can I do to reset the X axis to the correct position so that the automatic nozzle cleaning will work? It's off by a good centimeter or two.
