			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Extruder type: Standard Filastruder with overdrilled melt filter, full barrrel insulation, and vertical setup with winder.</p><p>Printer type: SD2, E3D v6, Bulldog XL, RUMBA + DRV8825, LCD, Glass bed, and Lawsy&#039;s Carraiges.</p><p>*in/m = Inches per minute*</p><p>Extrusion rate without colorant:<br /> @ 210°C- 2.5in/m<br /> @220°C-4-6in/m<br /> @230°C 12-18in/m</p><p>Extrusion rate with colorant: N/A</p><p>Average diameter of filament:<br /> @ 210°C- 1.65mm<br /> @220°C- 1.21mm<br /> @230°C - 0.95mm<br />Tolerances: + or - 0.02mm across the board.</p><p>Comments: Taulman 3d&#039;s Nylon 618 is a really cool material because of its strength and flexibility! Wanting to find out if nylon could be recycled, I granulated some nylon filament in my granualtor <a href="http://www.soliforum.com/post/69064/#p69064">http://www.soliforum.com/post/69064/#p69064</a>. The granulator had no problem with eating up the nylon, and produced granulate that was the same size as MG94 ABS pellets. In order to get quality filament, you must dry this material. I use this to pre-dry <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Presto-06300-Dehydro-Electric-Dehydrator/dp/B008H2OELY/ref=sr_1_2?s=kitchen&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1415255232&amp;sr=1-2&amp;keywords=dehydrator">http://www.amazon.com/Presto-06300-Dehy … dehydrator</a> From my experience, not drying nylon lead to bubbles and other inconsistency&#039;s in the filament Nylon off gases at 330°C, so off gas is not a problem. At 180°C the nylon does not melt, and at 230°C things are flowing very fast. Nylon is a different material in the aspect that it extrudes crystal clear, and after cooling turns into a semi transparent white. At 210°C the surface quality of the filament becomes rough. I am planning to drill my nozzle out, so I can get 1.75mm at 230°C. For those of you that are concerned about the Filastruder max temp, I can get up to 250°C before the heater really struggles. Surprisingly, after drying this material, adding a wood bed, and adjusting the tension on your coldend, it is very easy to use. You do not even need a heated bed!
