			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>I didn&#039;t make the video, just saw it a while back, but happy to consolidate the steps and pay it forward.&nbsp; MeshMixer is a really interesting program to get familiar with.&nbsp; It is totally awkward to use and the controls are awful, but there are tools that can be used when dealing with realistic models that are excellent.&nbsp; I&#039;d be happy to hear what else people do with these kinds of models.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>No problem... All of these steps aren&#039;t necessary but create a real thorough cleanup and treatment. Btw... It is easier to just export from ReMe as an obj. When you save just save as filename.obj</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>I&#039;ve cleaned this one up for you and rescaled it so it is ready for printing.&nbsp; The problem with these whole body figurines is that you almost always need support.&nbsp; That is the case with this one as well.&nbsp; Also the hair on Max looks like it might be tough.&nbsp; This is where the slicer comes in.&nbsp; Ian did great work showing how to use Kiss.&nbsp; I usually just do head busts, so I haven&#039;t had to worry about support in any of my prints.&nbsp; </p><p>Anyways, the process after you watch the video is:</p><p>1.&nbsp; Get in .obj format using meshlab<br />2.&nbsp; Center and orient in Netfabb<br />3.&nbsp; Trim off the bottom in Netfabb<br />4.&nbsp; Clean up holes and the like in Netfabb<br />5.&nbsp; Center again and export as .stl<br />6.&nbsp; Bring into meshlab and run filters-&gt; point set -&gt;&nbsp; Surface Recon Poisson -&gt; Octree11<br />7.&nbsp; Export as .obj<br />8.&nbsp; Import to meshmixer and remove unwanted parts and smooth rest out<br />9.&nbsp; Bring into netfabb and cut bottom again and run repair<br />10.&nbsp; export as .stl<br />11. bring into Rep G and scale and center<br />12.&nbsp; open in Blender and decimate <br />13.&nbsp; One more repair and final check in netfabb</p><p>You need these and they are good tools to have in general...</p><p><a href="http://www.netfabb.com/basic.php">http://www.netfabb.com/basic.php</a><br /><a href="http://meshlab.sourceforge.net/">http://meshlab.sourceforge.net/</a><br /><a href="http://www.meshmixer.com/">http://www.meshmixer.com/</a><br /><a href="http://www.blender.org/">http://www.blender.org/</a><br /><a href="http://replicat.org/">http://replicat.org/</a></p><p>This .stl should be good to slice</p><p>One more thing is you can build your own base by adding a large brim.</p>]]></content>
