]]>Personally, I'm waiting till we find out more details from E3D about the cyclops. It sounds like it will run two separate filaments (one at a time) through the same hot end nozzle. That should be a pretty compact design and I'd imagine have zero ooze problems (but details seem to be very slim at the moment :-).
yes with a pile of wasted filament from both materials that have to purge between each shift from 1 to other every layer that dont always purge 100%

]]>Solutions I've come across vary from the slicer implementing a 'prime and wipe' move, sometimes building a tower to do it with, which is independent of hardware. Another machine has some crazy needle-valve setup to eliminate ooze directly.
I am also interested as to whether solidoodle has a plan for this, or whether they'll be leaving it to us to work out when the machines land - the workbench was definitely marketed as a tinkerer's machine! 
since solidoodle now has the dual extruder model, i was wondering, how is 'ooze' handled during a print with the idle extruder?
the way my SD3 oozes i would think it would loose some of the print while switching from one nozzle to the next. I'm interested in a dual not for two colors, but for soluble support material.
