Hi
I have a Solidoodle 2 printer i have had for 2 years, it had been working fine. i havent used it for a couple of months now and reconnected it to start using it again. i am now having communications problems i believe, all the baud rates etc are set the same on both sides printer/computer, but when i try using pronterface it brings up all this garbage text after it says connecting,,,,,
i then installed repetier and with this program it has a communications error.
so i believe it is a communications problem,
So i went and downloaded the firmware to reset/update the firmware but when i am in the dos windows trying to update it keeps asking to press the reset button, even though i have the pins in the centre of the board jumpered. And i keep pressing the reset button but nothing happens.
So the question is is my board stuffed? can i fix it or do i just bin this Solidoodle 2 printer.

I have tried this on my win8 pro 64bit, may win7 pro 64bit and even on my old win xp pro 32bit. but all the same results.

Thanks.

Bill
