Any chance you'd consider selling this as a kit?  (Basically, without the board?)
Maybe even not assembled?

Can you at least give a few details on the board that is provided.

The Press will have a new motherboard.

The WorkBench models will have modified "Solidoodle Motherboard" boards. We aren't offering any other flavors of motherboard at the moment. If there's a large amount of demand, I suppose we might consider it, but I wouldn't count on it in the medium term future.

Long timey, no posty.  My antique SD2 still works, still at 0.3mm (never bothered to go 0.1mm since I was more after build speed than that level of precision), but reading about the new Workbench in various news releases today.

Self-calibrated and stock glass bed sound awesome. 

Is the primary purpose of the dual-extruder for two-color printing (integrated in same part), or dual-chemistry (e.g. PLA supports on ABS), and if so how is that managed?  Or is it just to do 2 identical parts at once?

It's up to you. Slic3r/RH still only provide basic dual extruder support, but you could do all of the above with it.

Yes.

Also: SoliPrint was an accidental leak. It's not going to be released for a little while. There should be beta testing soon, but it's meant for Solidoodle Press users more than WorkBench users. It is a highly simplified interface for newer users.

Still *lots* of kinks to work out.
