This was one of the "driest" runs.  Great thing is I can just melt it in water and try again later.  BTW - it also makes an excellent extruder purge.  I ran some through then took out my melt filter to clean it, all I had to do was wash it in the sink!

Downeasta, I checked that this material is specified for injection and not extrusion, though its datasheet seems reasonable for small extruders. What do you say?

There is no need for a degassing zone on a Filastruder because it runs slow enough for bubbles to escape up the barrel.

But as far as humidity, PLA is MUCH more sensitive to moisture than ABS.  Both should be dry, but PLA should be really dry.  I have a dedicated room with a dehumidifier running on full blast for this.

I've been noticing that my filaments started to fill in with bubble gas. Any ideas of what can be causing it?
Going through a few articles around the web I found out that big extruder uses some kind of degassing zone. I also heard that ABS should be as dry as it can be (not as much as PLA but...).

I have attached a picture of it.
