We have phased out the SD2 frames, and all printers are being made with either the SD3 or SD4 frames.

So if the only difference is the print bed, then one could order an SD2 pro for $499 (and get it in the SD3 frame) and add the SD3 heat bed as a spare part and effectively have an SD3 for $550 instead of $599.  Just change your bed sizes in repetier.  Nice

What about the zip tie over the x-axis belt? Does anyone have a picture of where that zip tie should be placed so I can verify it was in the wrong spot. The belt was being forced to rub up against the carriage because of the zip tie.

The Zip tie is for shipping. You should clip it off before you print. We've used hose clamps in the past, but we would never make a zip-tie a permanent part of a printer.

My roommate ordered an SD3. It came with the SD2 print bed (6x6x6) and an SD2 motherboard (has the number 2 written on it).

Do the SD2 and SD3 cases have identical dimensions? Because his frame is the SD3 frame dimensions (13.5" x 14" x 14").

Also, the zip tie over the fan/heatsink/cables on the extruder was tied in a way that forced the belt to rub up against the carriage. That just seems incorrect because it was adding friction to the belt when it moved.

Has anyone else had these types of problems?
