+1. Worked a charm for me. Run up and down the length to try and keep the sanding even down about 1/3 of the rod (far enough so you can install bearings in pillow blocks further down the rod if you like). Keep trying the bearing on every now and then to feel how you're going. smile

Locally would be best but I suppose I could order of the net if need be.  Thanks for the help!
