Thanks for the follow up Tim. Regarding the melt filter, will I need the circlip pliers to put it together in the first place or only to change out the mesh in the future?

At a computer now.

Beta motor is really only for more advanced users. It is not included with new kits.

You can use the melt filter from the start if you want, but you'll need to clean it pretty soon. Otherwise, just run the normal nozzle for the purge.

If the initial 1lb is used with the filter, you can use the resulting filament. If not, then you should discard it.

Hey everyone! I've been reading the threads here for a while and I'm considering getting a filastruder.

Several questions:
Tim mentioned testing a new motor. Is it being included in all new kits now?

For the initial purge, should I install the melt filter or wait till after the purge to install it?

Is the 1lb of included ABS enough for the purge, and should I discard this initial filament created?

Any other information or experiences are welcome.
