ダヴィンチ 2.0 Duoの発表と同時に、新色フィラメントとして「オフホワイト」を追加した  同年8月中旬より販売を開始する。

新色のオフホワイトは、ダヴィンチ 1.0でも当然利用可能だが、ダヴィンチ 2.0 Duoで用いると2色出力する際に、他の色との組み合わせバランスが良く、塗装した際にも色の再現性が高いという。今回、オフホワイトを追加したことで、取り扱いフィラメントは全部で13色となった。なお、今後も新色の追加を予定しているとのことだ。

I have been waiting for this !!]]> Personally, I haven't yet found a good use case for dual extruder (I also have a Flashforge Creator X), but I'd be interested in hearing some. 

One thing to note about dual extruders is that bed leveling is critical (which it always is anyway).  If you are off by a bit (e.g. a couple hundred microns), then the non-active extruder head (if it is lower) can bump into the print and either cause it to lift a bit at that point or at the least cause the other extruder to slightly mistrack and lower the quality of the print.  I'd like to the think the da vinci's  calibration routine factor this in, so I'll be very interested to see how well it prints.

Either way, for the money, it seems like a good deal for the print and build quality just like the 1.0.

I have been waiting for this !!]]> I just ordered a 2.0, the 1.0 had some problems and I wanted two colors, so I returned that and ordered the 2.0 today. I am pretty sure I am one of the first people to order it as I have been watching that Amazon listing sense before they had even added pictures to the listing, and went live for pre order sometime between 2pm and 4pm today. I also ordered it with overnight shipping from Amazon, so I will have it the day after it starts shipping. I will post a review here.

What I really want to know is can we upgrade a 1.0 to a 2.0 now? big_smile I have the 1.0, and it has holes and other fittings for the second scraper, cartridge, and extruder I think. So how hard would it be to add the second extruder to a 1.0?
