Download and install NetFabb Basic.  Load the STL then right click on the model and select Move.  Click on Move to Origin button.

This will move the model to the build surface.  Now right click again, and select, Extras/Repair Part.  This puts netFabb in Repair/Edit mode.   Click the Shell Select icon on the top menu, then click one of the object.

The selected object will turn green.  Right click on it, and click Extract Selected Triangles as Part. Tis will create a new sub-part on the parts menu.  Repeat the process for the remaining parts.

Then right click each part and select Export Part / As STL.

Blenders "Boolean" modifier is extremely useful for this, just youtube it for tutes.
