You'll see the extruder just hanging out in the corner like I explained with the print bed not moving.

I did discover I can move the print bed manually. Dunno if that will help, but there it is big_smile.

So what your saying is the z-axis won't move at all?
Could you be more specific when you say printing in the corner?
In R-H, Printer Settings, Printer Shape, do you have Home x (Max) Home y (Max) and Home z (Min) ???

I switched software to the updated version of Repetier and it works perfectly when extruding. The only thing is the bed isn't moving and it's printing in a corner now. But hey! At least it's extruding!

I'm currently using the Repetier software that comes with the solidoodle printer.

I tried using the updated version of Repetier but it wasn't finding my printer (even after I copied all the settings my previous repetier software had).

Is there any chance you got the "Dry Run" enable in Repetier Host? that would make your printer ignore any commands to extrude during a print.

0.3-0.5 seems a bit much, you want just enough space to slide a piece of paper semi freely between the bed and nozzle.
(I only does this when leveling the bed, then I do a test print and use the z stop screw to get the height I want)

I posted some time ago about having issues with my solidoodle four not extruding. Several weeks later and it still isn't extruding and not due to a lack of effort.

So, after adjusting and leveling the print bed, making sure it was the required height away from the extruder I tried printing. There was nothing coming out. Thinking I had a clog that wasn't coming out I cleaned the extruder, nothing changed, thinking there was a tough clog in there I cleaned again. nothing changed. So I finally just out-right replaced the extruder. Nothings changed.

I finally noticed that the wheels that feed the filament to the extruder weren't moving during a print. They do however move when I manually feed filament through the extruder.

Now, with all that explained (I hope I explained it well enough) I have a few questions:

-Is the press arm suppose to sit loosely(as in is it suppose to move)? Or do I have to tighten it down all the way?
-What is the required height from the tip of the extruder to the print bed? I've been told .3mm and .5mm. Both of which don't seem to work.

I have a few more questions, but for now lets start with these two.

Side note: The printer has worked up until all these issues arose and the print I am attempting is one that has worked in the past.
