I think any ISP with support in avrdude would work the same way if you just change the -c option appropriately.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>I backed up my Solidoodle firmware using my ISP programmer to read the existing contents before I changed it (important for solidoodle since there is no other way to get the original firmware :-). It depends on the way the &quot;fuse&quot; bits are set though. They can be used to disable reading the firmware once it is written.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>I&#039;m keeping a repository of all previous versions of XYZ firmware and software.</p><p>I just wanted to add it to my collection.</p><p>Also, sometimes, by analyzing previous versions, insights/backdoors can be found into newer versions.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Just curious what your goal is?&nbsp; What are you trying to actually backup?&nbsp; The firmware is downloadable.&nbsp; The SN itself can also be reset....I just don&#039;t personally know how.&nbsp; The people over at Voltivo do though.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Hi all,</p><p>Just a quick question: do any of you know if it&#039;s possible to backup the firmware currently installed on the printer?<br />In another forum, it was mentioned that one possible way would be via JTag (If certain bits weren&#039;t locked)</p><p>Just checking here in case someone has any ideas.</p><p>Thanks!</p>]]></content>
