Didn't notice the message- where would that show up? Using Repetier, but the problem was solved by unplugging then reinserting the x-axis endstop. Loose connection. Come to think of it, I was getting the same thing on the z axis after I took out the board to swap chips- that time I had inadvertently plugged it into only two of the three pins- that was pretty easy to spot.

When you connect to the printer, does it give a message in the log about Solidoodle and a link to my github?

If it does not, the firmware is still the version set up for a Mendel that comes on the 1284P.

Are you using Repetier? Perhaps there is a homing setting set incorrectly there, although that would be less likely if it was working before.

So I updated the firmware (I think) successfully, on the 1284 chip, but after doing so I can no longer home x axis. It always moves to the right, and gives an echo of "x axis endstop hit". Tried swapping endstops with y, and it still gives an echo for x. When the endstops are not switched, y and z home correctly. When attempting to print, x axis just slams to the left and drips plastic everywhere. Any ideas? thanks in advance
