Or they may be burnt too.</p><p>Check the other chips to see if they are discolored also.</p></blockquote></div><p> +1</p><p>It looks like there is a hole the magic smoke used to get out of the chip so in the very least you will have to replace the extruder driver chip.</p><br /><br /><p>And since the driver chips use through board heatsinking with via&#039;s it means you most likely can&#039;t use chipquik to remove it without damaging more stuff(unless you&#039;re really good)</p>]]></content>

I was running on a Printrboard and the firmware was not perfect which caused many issues, the most important ones are on the thread.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Smoke is never a good thing...</p><p>You may have just blown a trace to the power rail for the motors...or could have fried something else... can you take some close up hi res pics of the board and post them up? do you have a DMM?</p><p>use imgur.com and just mess the url up a bit to get past the minimum post link protection.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>While I was connecting the new 30A power supply there was a small smoke from board. I&#039;ve continued with old one.&nbsp; </p><p>Yes I have updated firmware. I was able to go to 300° to finish extruder installation. </p><p>I have Printerboard board. I don&#039;t know about my skills (ask and see if I can answer).</p><p>Since flashing the firmware I was not abble to print because I can&#039;t move and extrude.</p>]]></content>

I wanted to switch to new one, but it almost burned my board (printrboard). I&#039;ve done everything successful, but after all those operations all of my motors stopped working. </p><p>XYZ plus extruder motor are not working. </p><p>I can heat extruder and bed. </p><p>Do you have any idea how to fix it?</p>]]></content>
