Just use sketch to upload to the arduino and build it all with the information at my page http://wctek.com/xyz or Oliver's page at http://voltivo.com/blog/da-vinci-reset-eeprom.
If you're not technical and/or can't be bothered building the resetter, you can get it built and tested, or, if you do want to play with it and build it yourself, you can get the parts on my site such as:
A pre-programmed micro controller board
3 gold plated spring-loaded pins
2 pin jumper or pre-cut link (to set the temperature to 230*C) new
One ECR1632 3V battery
NOTE: if you opt for the DIY option, you will still need to print the 3D enclosure from thingiverse.com (see above) and solder 3 wires from the arduino board to the 3 pins to build the complete resetter. A push-button is also needed if you want to build the pro version.

What settings for printing PLA?
Is there a way to shut the bed temp OFF completly?

hello
it is working very well by rest counter , but temperature did not change as i changed temperature from 210c to 230c
but maximum temperature read by sensor was 215 c which appear on screen of printer is there any solution ??

If it wont work just flash the firmware to Repetier .92 and use Repetier Host . Then you can use any brand filaments.

Would there happen to be something somewhere that explains this process? Do you mean if i do this i dont even require the resetter? is it still as easy to use as the xyzware?

I have placed an order for your pro resetter and asked it to be sent 2 day priority it's been now 4 days and i am still waiting for it tracking says it setting in TX i have sent WCtek message asking for a check on my order with no response.

I'm having a little trouble with making the resetter, I'm using an arduino nano, I think I have it wired correctly, and I've uploaded the recommended program, but I'm sufficiently new at working with arduinos that I'm not sure. The leads have alligator clips running to the housing that has the pins in it. I've uploaded how I have it wired, if I need to I can use an arduino mega that I also have.

Many Many thanks for your efforts and posts. I got one of your resetters which will be put to use soon. I have been wanting to get some advice from someone experienced in this area. Can you recommend to a neophyte what would be the best way or best websites I should use to educate myself as regards programing, arduino, hardware and management of 3D printing. I have absolutely no background in these areas or writing code though I am very motivated now to learn. I don't even know what type of language is being used. What's the best one to learn? I have checked into repetier, slcr 3, etc.. but I haven't found out where I have to go to get a good grounding in the programs. Can you recommend any books or sites?

I put together a TwoUp kit--I made oscilloscopes, etc.. pre-teen-- but I have absolutely no idea how to navigate all the stuff needed to tweek a printer and use the software successfully. I have no history at all with PCs and am at the very beginning of that intimidating bell curve that always pops up with computers. So If you have the inclination and time, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

Hi new to 3d printing. I just got a new xyz 1.0 If I buy the chip resetter, do I have do to any software changes? I dont want to mess around with warranty issues or mess with software problems.

I just wanted to say I got my resetter yesterday, and it works fantastic...tried a couple of different settings and the DaVinci sees them all just as expected...thanks for all your work on this!

Any suggestions for a good external spool holder? Found a couple on thingiverse but they arent large enough to hold the large spool of BuMat transparent filament I got off Amazon....

Also, this may sound dumb, but is there a video of how to properly open the resetter like if I needed to replace the battery one day? It looks like it would just pop off, but doesn't easily and I don't wanna chance breaking anything..

Ok here is a challenge. A byte in the EEPROM is used to let the software know that pla is installed I presume this is to slow down the feed rate ... Does anyone know which byte?

Perhaps the ones of you using the xyzpro unit (see http://wctek.com/shop could paste the dump if you find it in here?

I'll be looking for it as well of course but any help is appreciated ...

Until then I was able to print pla at 240 degrees and bed set to 85 degrees but I still think we can do better ...

The mega will work fine, just use pin 7 to connect to the data-pin in the cartridge - all information is @ http://wctek.com/xyz
You don't need a switch but you do need a way to start the code. You can either connect/disconnect the battery wires, press the reset switch (after it runs for the first time) or use a switch to connect/disconnect the battery (as I do).

Your voltage is too low.
