OK, I'm a bit frustrated.

I had this problem a year ago. I couldn't solve it and got no help. I thought maybe it was the board.

So, now I replaced the board with the new one. I got the power supply connected with a new plug (the original board had wire connection)

I got things working. Then, half way through a test print, it stopped extruding. I thought I had some kind of a motor problem as the motor seemed to isolate and not go anywhere.

I clear out the filament, found a bit of material in the drive/bearing where the filament feeds through.

I cleared the clog in the nozzle.

Now, the extruder motor only rotates in one direction. in the retract direction.

I am no further than I was a year ago.

Some one mentioned "tuning" the motor(s). Where do I find those instructions?

As a test, I turned off printer. I switched stepper connections on the board, to see I could make the motor move if I press the Z button. I got the motor to rotate in both directions. Pressing the extruder buttons to make the Z axis move did not seem to make the Z move.

In any case, what is cause of extruder motor only rotate in one direction, that is, only rotates in retract directions whether I press extrude or retract button?

This must be unique to my computer as it doesn't seem as if anyone else has ever had this problem.

What do I do now?

nltnme
