why kind of solidoodle do you have? i got the solidoodle 2 pro just a bit ago... doyou know anything about the z axis stablizer thing people are talking about... or what it is for! (by people i mean my friend who doesnt know what he is talking about)

i use 3d max to model.. im good at sculpting but i dont know all the terms and settings and "holes" and whatever triangles lol it is a lot to be confused about

Hang in there with the CAD...It may seem daunting when you're starting out, but soon you'll be able to pre-think your designs and the steps to take in order to create them. I only really started about 2 years ago; I'm certainly no guru, but the STL I posted took only about 5 min...

I think that changing the infill to 1 might help those top layers stick together; descending diameter circular layers can cause stress and separation...

Another idea for a BirdBath...(It may look more like an ashtray, I never said I was an artist LOL.

im actually thinking about abandoning this print and trying to turn that bath bowl into a mold so i can make a clay bird bath... but i suck at 3d modeling... it was hard enough to make that thing!! i would not even begin to know how to turn this into a functioning mold lol

yes, no support the inside. i dont mind if the last 10 layers are solid towards the top if this would help the peak of it to print better.

Oh well...used .3 layer height; no cooling...guess I should have cooled it a bit! Otherwise it sliced fairly well. What is the reason you desire no infill vs solid infill?

I tried to slice the .stl this evening...RH indicated the part is not manifold. Tried to repair with Netfabb to no avail. So just for kicks I imported the .stl into Solidworks and remodeled it. No manifold errors and printing now; we'll see how it goes...

An extrusion multiplier of 0.6 seems a bit low...Have you tried printing a calibration cube with a single extrusion width wall thickness (0.42mm)? If not, print one and then adjust your extrusion multiplier accordingly...
