Is there a simple way to combine individual STL models into a single assembly for printing? Some of the things on Thingiverse are great, but are chopped up in either awkward places, or smaller than I'd like for my printer. Is there an easy way to combine parts?

I've tried with my limited knowledge of SketchUp, but have nothing but grief with "not a solid" errors.
