I haven't been able to really diagnose it due to conflicting schedules.
However, I started having a X shift yesterday...every single print shifted about 4-9 times just on the first layer alone. After 15 minutes and a hunch, I found the problem to be the right X pulley. I took the screw out to look at the pully since I noticed a slight tilt, found a lot of black greasy powder at the bottom of the pulley that meets the carriage. I slapped on an M5 washer at the bottom, greased the top of said washer, then greased the screw. I was able to print for two hors successfully before hitting the hay.

This makes me wonder if it could just be as simple as greasing the screws, or a failing motor/driver in your case.

I have after much(days) adjusting got my printer to print 3 items without a shift but I can't directly attribute why it is at least temp working. Whatever it is seems to have to be "just so". In the past months even when I got it working, it lasts a few prints and then start shifting again, so I am limiting what I print to things I really need. It's a shame, but at least I have it working sortof for emergency items.

I though I had it fixed maybe. Managed to get through an hour print without an issue. But then the next print it returned horribaly. I suppose I should try the fishing line thing but I havent been able to print so long it went out of my mind and I'm considering packing it away selling any filiment I can and just waiting till I can afford a new printer. I don't mind tinkering with the printer but after countless hours of tinkering and dollars trying to fix it I am probably giving up. I just don't find fun in spending a week+ adjusting it to get a single hour print and if even that as it is getting worst in the amount I need to adjust to get anything to print right.

I do have some 1/16 sitting about. But would the extruder stepper driver mess up the Y-axis?
