You don't need the set screw on such places,
for the driving pulleys you need a set screw to transfer
the torque from the shaft to the pulley, then to the timing belt;
but for the driven pulleys (that are shown on your pictures),
their shafts are fixed, the timing belt turns the driven pulleys only to rotate.

I checked and the left side spacer has a set screw in it, BUT, they both are loose and slide freely across the screws that are being used as a shaft for the pullies to ride on. Maybe there is just not supposed to be any set screws there?But the y axis is a little stickie. Going to grease and try a test print. Belts might need re alignment?!

Stock solidoodle I think some pulley's have two setscrew holes, solidoodle only uses 1. Cheaper to assemble . One should be enough, though. check if it is loose?

Anyone know what kind of setscrews the pulleys use?

EDIT: I looked at your photos. You are talking about the idler pulleys. They are not supposed to have any setscrews, because the pulley just turns along the greased bolt shank.

I have a solidoodle 2, and have been printing pretty consistently for a year or so. Suddenly I have y shifts. After looking closely at the set screws for both the x and y I see set screws missing. Now I don't remember looking so, not sure if they were ever there?! But I've included two pics of the missing set screws and would like anyone to confirm or deny if there are supposed to be there. I assume this would be my printing issues? I looked all around to see in the bottom if the screws were there is they had vibrated out and did not. The missing screws are both on the rightside of the machine , top front right on the Y and Right on the X.

Any input would be appreciated. If they are missing where can i get replacements and what size are they?
