If I were to contact a plastic manufacturer, what exactly should I be looking for quotes for? All sellers are based overseas and shipping makes it too expensive so I thought I'd just ring a company from my country and try and get quotes from them.

Are there particular grades of ABS and PLA I should be specifying? I'd like to know the jargon before I ring up and sound stupid.

I'm mainly thinking about ABS and PLA that will both be able to make an even coloured spool with the right techniques.

Thanks in advance for all your help!
