MeshMoth, to be honest, yours is the best method! I played around milling it the first time, and 3.375" was NOT the right measurement. 3.75" was correct, I transcribed an error somehow.

The second time around, with the same scrap just rotated 90degrees, since I already had the plate off, I transfered the hole pattern via a center punch and did the whole thing eyeballing (+center punch) with a drill press and a hacksaw. Was plenty nice.

Based on the "nominal dimensions use round numbers" logic, I got the following measurements.

Between the two front bolts ~95.7mm... = 96mm? Or 3.3750inches was close, too, if it was not in metric.

On the two isometric sides of the triangle, I am measured ~141.5mm, 141mm. ...So 141mm nominals?
This gives a triangle 132.6325mm tall. Thats 5.223". I will use the following assumptions: This was made with U.S units and has round numbers. The u.s part I should have guessed because it was a 6"x6" square.

Triangle would be a symmetric triangle made by the perpendicular of a 3.3750" triangle 5.25" tall.

So the other suggestions were good and maybe I should have tested the distances by using my hot end. I would have to trust the SD2 calibration, but I actually thought that was spot on. Maybe someone else can verify my speculative measurements. I made them with a crappy pair of calipers and without much accuracy, but I think the reasoning is likely to be correct.

Edit: I'll upload the files tmrw in case anyone wants. Actually, I will wait until I machine the part to test it, unless requested otherwise.

The method I like to use when measuring a part like this is to use a surface plate, a height gauge and gauge pins. I zero off the surface, measure to the top of the gauge pin, then subrtract half the pin diameter.

This permits measurement to the "dead nuts on" standard.

Hello!

I found some spare aluminum on my hands, and some time on a CNC machine (for precision and a bit of modding of the alu plate i got.)

I don't quite trust myself sticking the calipers into the build chamber to accurately measure the plate that is on my SD2 right now. I mean I will do so, but I'm hoping to get verification from someone else who has done the measurements [also my calipers are wonky.] I'd like to machine the replacement before I take out the old one.

Does anyone know what the bolt distance measurements are on the SD2 aluminum build plate? I don't care about the old aluminum resistor holes, since I do not use that.

I haven't found this info on the soliWiki.

Thanks and regards,
-Tomek
