Yes, usually with full spools. Had this happen with SD branded filament too. There are some filament guides that will help, just print them and use them. I also found that you need to make sure your filament spool mount is level.

For now anyway. I calibrated my flow rate first. Next I hesitantly disassembled my SD3 after receiving new shafts, linear bearings, and after printing Lawsy's carriage retrofits, and after about 6 hours had my system back assembled. Then I switched to a 3mm rod for the Z axis and the dual not slop houseing, but used a flex coupler. Initially, I was impressed with the results, but I still had random banding, and found an article suggesting the flex coupler could cause bounce in the Z axis. So, I made a crude coupler from solid aluminum, tried printing again, and I can only use one word to describe the results as of completing these mods. WOW! And this at .3mm. I have yet to tesst the results at .1 but I expect to be highly pleased. If you have not done these mods yet, you are definately missing out! Thanks go to all who have contributed these wonderful upgrades and files to reproduce them. I think Solidoodle woul.d do themselves a great service by purchasing rights from the original designers of these upgrades and implement them immediatly. On the left, while impressive to me, is with the flex coupler after changing out the carriages and z screw. On the right is the difference the non flexable coupler made, and it is not even a well made coupler. I am now a very happy doodler.
