Yeah sure,
I tend to just abuse my prints with automotive spray filler-primer, then perhaps a touch of bondo where it's needed, like on warped edges or glitches in the perimeters.
Then I usually go over the large surfaces with my orbital sander, and then the smaller detailed parts with a set of small files and sand paper.
The trick I've found is to add a layer or two to the final product. In most cases parts come out needing to look a bit less anaemic(?).

The painted battle rifle in the back there has perhaps 4-6 coats of filler on it just to even it out and create a solid feel to the finish.
It's probably not as necessary with the more expensive printers, but with the Z wobble we all experience I've found that a lot of work needs to go into fixing it up.

Wow that's really cool good luck with the neodymium magnet setup. If your looking for magnet k and j magnetic has a good selection.

Sorry Serin, been working on painting the lightsaber which I have posted about in here earlier

I have only printed the first two parts of the scattershot so far, although the third is printing as I type, have attached a quick iPhone pic of them

Next up in the Halo series: The Halo 4 Boltshot

The idea is to mimic the way that the weapon assembles in-game when it's picked up by the player.
I'll be slotting Neodymium magnets into the individual parts to hold them together and allow for disassembly.
This will act as a bit of a test-bed for doing the whole Light-rifle above in a similar way.

I used to have all kinds of ABS sticking/curling/peeling problems. I too have to have the bed at 110. I also have a mirror with painters tape on it. And the key ingredient is glue stick. I heat up the bed with taped mirror then put a quick 1 layer of glue stick on the warm bed. That will last me a week or two.

I'm having some issues with my printer now so I still haven't had the chance to print any of your models yet Serin but, they are awesome. Keep it up.

Excellent! Not the warping... But the attempting I wish you good luck comrade!
I'm sure the helpful folks here would be more than we willing to offer some advice for fixing warping issues.
My advice? If it's ABS set the bed at 110 and use lots of acetone/abs goop.

I was trying to print a Halo pistol early last week but she started pulling on the far corners. Need to work on that though.

Finally done.... With the LightRifle that is.

Now begins the annoying process of applying bog to fill the gaps and smooth out the z-wobble result.

And next up.... A Reach Mark V(B) brain bucket.

I've attached the helmet files to make up for the fact that I shant be sharing the files for the LR.
