D boards I have, a Geeeteck, and an original PrintrBot, and they're both 100mm in length.

The only explanation would be that Solidoodle's version is dramatically redesigned. Perhaps someone else could measure the actual Solidoodle Printrboard and provide the dimensions.

The 53.5 is real close, but the vertical is 97.41 on mine (I pulled the positions off by scanning the original solidoodle cover plate on a flatbed scanner).

It was also a good test for X-Y calibration, since the screw holes don't come out in the right place unless the calibration is good :-).

Yes, good to hear! I personally wouldnt have gone the printrboard - its by no means an 'upgrade' and instead would have gone at least a RAMPS if not a Rumba as they genuinely have loads more features... But thats not relevant to this particular thread in anyway what so ever smile

I just made this for my SD3, and I thought that some folks might want something like this for theirs.  This is a replacement cover for the SD3 PCB, with a built-in fan mount.

It will support any 50mm fan, but it's made for the older SD3 with the Sanguinololu PCB (bolt hole pattern).
