Assuming the AC adapter was only about 70-75% efficient, then the printer actually peaks around 85W, and averages less than 60W while printing.

You wouldn't happen to know how much the sd3 draws as stock would you?  I want to know how much power I have to work with without overdrawing and damaging anything.  (mostly just thinking about fans for right now)

I've got a separate 12V power cube for it at the moment, but when I finally get around to upgrading my power supply, I'm just going to run the connectors in the box from a line off the new PSU.

A hot end fan can be wired to headers on the board, but I haven't seen consensus on other mods.

Also, what are guidelines / suggestions for powering different devices from cooling fans to steppers?
