you could get a surge protector and use the switch on that lo. or a switched receptacle

]]> https://www.soliforum.com/user/221/ 2014-01-22T00:24:28Z https://www.soliforum.com/post/47363/#p47363 <![CDATA[Usb on off switch .....?]]> There might be a completely easier way to do this .... but ......  could I wire an on off switch to my usb?  The idea behind this is when I have my computer on and my printer off, the fan on the extruder motor still spins from the power on the usb.  Do you guys thing I could wire in a switch to the usb to turn that off completely without screwing with the communication from computer to the printer?  And while I'm asking, is there a post to wire an actual on off switch to the printer?  Right now I just keep pulling power, and that's annoying.
