I have been playing around with my settings while purging and think I have come upon something that will work for pla without a winder. I have been using a temp of 155. with the 1.75mm nozzle and the height from the floor of 24.5 inches. This has given me filament with a diameter of 1.70 with +- 0.1mm with the vast majority of masurements having a +-0.05mm. (edit corrected error measurement typo)

I searched the forums put couldn't find any information regarding the settings people use for pla and their results on their filastruder. Which is funny as I could have sworn I saw some before, particularly in the sticky thread. Anyway thought we could share some of the info in this thread for everyone.

So this is to discuss 4043D PLA (I obtained mine from Open Source Printing)

Extruded at 160 I was receiving nipple twist.
