I Love my set up but it isn't for someone without a strong electrical background. It is basically a Silicone heat pad that looks similar to the one you have. The difference is mine is a 500 watt AC unit that plugs into the wall basically and is controlled via a Solid State Relay (SSR). So unless you truly understand that stuff you should stick with the DC units that run off the board. I have heard great things about the I think they are called qu-bd. There are a lot of posts that cover bed heaters. Did your fail or are you having a power supply issue? That is pretty common.

If the switches do not stop the print head when tripping them manually then check the connections on the main board for the limits and if you have a multimeter test the actual switches by unpluging thm at the main board and checking for continuity at the plug while tripping the switch.

There are a few aftermarket beds out there, some of them will usually require a bigger power supply to work well...

http://www.soliforum.com/topic/1819/hea … isonsstls/

http://www.soliforum.com/topic/2544/my- … eated-bed/
