Another option: you will probably want to replace your stock power supply with something like this at some point soon, since the stock one has barely enough power to run the stock Solidoodle and leaves the LEDs flickering at times, and it won't be enough once you do any upgrades. So do the power supply upgrade now. While you're at it, you'll get a few extra pairs of 12V terminals to use for things like fans.

Thank you, I'll attack the circuit board with a multiemeter later on and see what i can find

This is how I mounted my fan. Spliced the fan into a 12v adapter from an old router.

Any cooling fans you would add to cool the boards would run full time so it's pretty simple to add them just tap into 12 volts anywhere you can get right off the power supply... like from the lighting circuit. the small fans like this --> http://www.ebay.com/itm/gi-b-12V-2-Pin- … 2a2c33d13a don't draw very much power so you should be able to add a few without worry.

Hello,

Electronics isn't my forte and I'd like to add fans cool the circuit board.
I'm up for a challenge but I would like some help as to what to do, can you help me out?
