This is a pretty good test to get your printer making objects that come out the size that you would expect.

Is it the flow rate/speed in Slic3r that needs to be adjusted? Where/what would be the proper settings? Mine are pretty stock from what SD recommends. Reading up on some of the links, it looks like the extrusion multiplier in Slic3r needs to be adjusted. I'll try that first.

You are likely over-extruding a bit which will cause the parts to be slightly to big.
