			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>In the links I posted earlier ---&gt; <a href="http://solidoodletips.wordpress.com/2012/08/09/extruder-calibration/">http://solidoodletips.wordpress.com/201 … libration/</a> you will find the method to change the eeprom values without using the menus... just by using gcodes M92 for setting the numbers and M500 for writing the eeprom... going from memory here so the numbers may be a bit different... anyways I had posts on how to do this a while back also and I think on the wiki or soliwiki it also shows how to do this verbatim... I have to get up in 5 hours so I&#039;m signing off now if you can not get this to work I&#039;ll do some searching tomorrow and find the links for ya&#039;</p><p>-Ron</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Well then!</p><p>....I hope someone else knows how to fix that because I&#039;ve never seen that!</p><p>--</p><p>After some looking around it seems that has to do with it being a mac version?&nbsp; Apparently you can use M commands to adjust the stuff manually but that is far beyond my area of knowledge.</p><p>If you have a windows computer you could put repetier on it for a moment just to configure the steps/mm?</p><p>The settings I gave you work perfectly on my and a friend&#039;s SD2, so once your extruder is not putting out ~250% filament, it should be good! <img src="https://www.soliforum.com/img/smilies/smile.png" width="15" height="15" alt="smile" /></p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>That setting is in the controller board eprom, not slic3r. You can connect with Repetier Host and bring up the eprom settings from the Config menu.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Well, I think i found the problem!</p><p>I ran the test on the extrusion calibration like ian johnson did in his video with the sharpie, and get this- </p><p>When i extruded 100mm in repetier, it extruded not 150, not 175, not 200, but 257mm, a whole 157mm over the amount instead!! </p><p>I am really shocked my extruder is that screwed up on the calibration. So now that I figured that out, where do I go in slic3r to change the setting and set it back? How do I determine what number to put as well since its extruding way over 100% more?</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>That is really weird, as my settings are roughly based on factory!</p><p>I&#039;d calibrate your extruder and try again..&nbsp; If you want to do a quick test, assuming extruders are similar, change config / firmware eeprom, steps per mm on E to 110.</p>]]></content>

A big fat blob of melted ABS goop that happens to resemble the adapter I made. The last attachment has that print next to the one with the settings before. </p><p>Is this print, with these settings, a telltale sign of any problems then?</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>There poeple on here that would know more than me, but those settings look way off.&nbsp; Your minimum parameters is set to 75?&nbsp; There are also settings that if not set correctly will cause slicer to fail to slice. Usually during the infill calculations. It took me a awhile to figure out some of the basics and there are some things I still don&#039;t understand. But again, those settings look way off.</p>]]></content>

Although a quick change to that in slicer doesnt immediately give any different results in the g-code.... </p><p>My extrusion multiplier is set to 1.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>I think you&#039;re not putting out enough filament then.&nbsp; Have you calibrated your extruder?&nbsp; And also, a problem I had in the past, is it accidentally set to 3mm filament instead of 1.75?&nbsp; Finally, what is your extrusion multiplier set to?</p>]]></content>
