Were the corners lifting forom the bed? Sometimes that squishes layers.

Or

It was printing to fast not giving the previous layers time to cool. It makes it all jelly like and out of whack cause the layers start to not go down right. There is a cooling setting in slicer to slow things down when a layer is to fast.

I'm on layer 60 and it's already at a better quality than the parts Solidoodle shipped it with! I'd call that a success. Now if only I could get my PC drivers to work....

Hmm... My firmware version appears to be newer than the one they're offering to download and my EEPROM settings are blank...

I ran the test. I'm definitely extruding too much. (an extra 30mm for every 100mm). Since I don't have the default steps from my firmware, it is hard to find a base for my adjustment calculations. I'm going to use the 138 steps from the base as a best guess and just drop the adjustments in my gcode.

Hello EVeryone, I'm sure this has been brought up quite a few times in the past but I couldn't find specifically how to deal with the second layer and above. I just got my Solidoodle 3 yesterday and am still working on my first print.

As the title sates, my first layer drops great and I have no problems sticking to my glass (I upgraded first). I calibrated my zaxis and gave a once over of the settings. however, every layer thereafter appears to be putting out too much ABS. The nozzle is squishing it around. After the previous layer dries the nozzle is dragged over it making a washboard sound. Am I missing a setting somewhere that will correct this?
