- the motor he's using is the first motor I used, in the alpha version and beta v1 version. It is noisier, less powerful, and slower than the current motor.
- that design uses mains current, which is dangerous. If the heaterband's insulation fails, the chassis could become electrified.
- he doesn't have melt filters (though Filastruder melt filters would work in that machine)
- his kit is $50 more than the Filastruder.
