id drill it but I have the tubing which guides the filament stuck in there too, the tubing protrudes about 3mm past the heater block, the threads go into the heaterblock and around that tube. I have no idea how to get that tube out of the heater block heres a photo of my extruder heater block assembly.

You may be able to get an 'easy out' inside the threads to remove whats left, otherwise one other thing to try is drilling with incrementally larger bits until there is just paper thin remains of the threaded part then you can pick the rest out... the problem is keeping it centered and straight while drilling... a drill press or mill is very handy for the task.

Replacement Nozzle Heater Assembly?

Today I went to clean my Up! 3d printer nozzle, unscrewed it and snapped the extruder head off, the treads of the extruder head are now embedded into the heater block.... I have no idea how to remove it, I tried micro chiseling it but only chewed up the block even more... I need to get a new heater assembly I would guess?

My question mainly is, can I use a cheap chinese DIY Heater assembly for a mendel / rep rap style for $64 USD or must I use the one octave or pp3dp supplies for 80+ shipping?
