I set a fan up on it once a while ago and it did help (it wasn't a scientifically rigorous test but it seemed to help), however It did on occasion still freeze up. sad

I just tried this. The step size with the y-axis motor/ z-axis driver is 10x larger and the z motor/ y driver is 10x smaller. I assume this is expected. No matter how much I move them both around, neither of them seem to freeze.

Scratch that, the Y-axis motor on the Z-axis driver just stopped.

I have checked the threaded rod and it is well greased, I have also verified that the rod rotates without any resistance. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this problem?
