In the end, I am more partial to an Hbot design as you get the speed but more rigidity.

]]> https://www.soliforum.com/user/2747/ 2013-09-24T23:23:30Z https://www.soliforum.com/post/37236/#p37236 <![CDATA[Re: The Spamprinter - An cheap delta printer coming to KickStarter soon.]]> It's fun to watch.  It's fast, but that is mostly because of the bowden.  All movement is from the 3 arms, so there isn't wobble from a leadscrew on Z, complicated arrangements of belts like the SD's.  It may have its own unique potential problems or artifacts, but I don't know what they are.   There is one branch that uses sphere magnets as the connection between the arms and the extruder platform which is really cool.  If you need to do something with it, you can just yank it off the arms.

Here is one that can be programmed to change tools.  He has it picking up a z probe, you could use that to switch between a plastic extruder and a paste extruder. - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CW-z6XN-1II

+1...BTW, I think in some cases the best way to use Kickstarter is as a Pre-order site.  Ideally, you have the product VERY well developed / defined and at the brink of production.  The influx of cash helps cover final tooling and production costs, and then you are just filling orders over a period of time.
