			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>I have an APC&nbsp; Back-Ups XS 1300, with my PC, NAS, modem, LAN switch and a few other small things are plugged in it, and the normal draw is about 195-205W.&nbsp; At that load, the UPS built-in display says the battery time is about 25 minutes.</p><p>I once tested the SD3 draw using a Kill-a-Watt meter, and the average draw while working is between 135-145W.&nbsp; When first heating up the bed and extruder, I&#039;ve seen loads as high as 180W.&nbsp; But once they&#039;re hot, the printer seems to only pulse the current to keep them hot, so it doesn&#039;t draw as much.</p><p>Anyway, I think that a 1300VA&nbsp; UPS like mine would probably give me about 35-45 minutes runtime for the printer alone.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Yeah, 2n2 is right I think mine draw around 120 watts when running... don&#039;t know why I thought the brick was 300 ??? as for the UPS&#039;s their batts start having diminished capacity after about 6 months to a year I&#039;ve gone through a few of the APC 650&#039;s</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>I have had one of mine tied into a 12 volt car battery just as a test on a long print I was doing a few months ago, this was done mainly as an experiment because we were having lots of power problems and brownouts. It worked fine when the power flickered a few times, if I were going to make something permanent it would have a regulated output and a higher charge voltage just because <img src="https://www.soliforum.com/img/smilies/smile.png" width="15" height="15" alt="smile" /><br />If you go with a UPS I would go with something at least a couple times more wattage than needed (SD power brick says it needs 300 watts) now as for the longevity of the batts they put in the UPS&#039;s they generally run about 10 mins. at rated load... So you can either hook up a bigger batt to it or buy a much bigger UPS if you want it to last an hour.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Tried to search this, but did not come up with anything...</p><p>Is anyone running an uninterruptible power supply to their setup?&nbsp; I was looking into getting one and wondered which VA or Watt ratings are necessary for running the machine for say, an hour off the grid?&nbsp; Just need to power the &#039;Doodle...the laptop will take care of itself...</p>]]></content>
