I run Win8 and the original bundled software(.85b).I had it finely tuned and was making great prints.

On Wed I got hit with a power surge while a print was in progress. My UPS prevented any damage to the printer/pc,as far as I determined the only casualty was RH which was rendered "fubar".

I figured I'd start clean and deleted RH and it's driver and rebooted.I installed a fresh copy of the driver from SD's site.In my infinite wisdom I figured this was a perfect time to try out the latest version of RH(.90c) so I went to their site and installed it.That's when the trouble started.

I spent the better part of Thurs unplugging, rebooting, troubleshooting and could not get it to play nice.At first I got the famous "com3 does not exist" yet the printer was visible on "com3" when I checked in "computer".I unplugged and rebooted and this time it connected but the motors, heaters were all inop.

After countless reboots I deleted everything yet again and installed the original bundled software(.85b).This time it connected perfectly the first time and is now back to normal.

Can anyone think of why the SD driver would not work with the RH version of .90c yet work with the SD version (.85b)? It appears to have been some kind of conflict between them.
