^ This is exactly the issue I didn't want. A few of my other models are on Thingiverse under the name "LeHof". There I have also provided the Solidworks files if people want to modify. General doovalackies and printer mods I don't mind sharing, but yes they are under non-commercial however it is up to the ethics of the user, and my limited ability to identify misuse. I used to work in product design and development so I know some of the issues going around with IP and have had work stolen in the past. Pretty much anything I don't think I would want to sell myself I share for other people to play around with . I got made redundant around 4 months back, and printed thingamabobs may have to be what feeds me for the coming months

For the record, Thingiverse does offer a "Non-commercial" version of the license, in case what you mean by "profit" off your work is actually selling it for profit, rather than being able to make one for themselves.

In fact, those of us who do post to Thingiverse, I strongly recommend changing your license to that on existing models and your default. I've found at least one loser who skims Thingiverse designs and posts them on Shapeways for sale, with shameless abandon, if they're not marked that way. (Working on getting three of my designs he purloined taken down, but I had to change the design licenses first.)

don't forget about ysb! I've printed a few of his creations. just wished "never call me.." would print. one of the spiked heels will always break lmao, I need to put that 40mm fan shroud that IanJohnson made on my sd2, I have it printed just need the fan, magnets and the mosfet

I guess I can understand that. But I wonder if you should be posting your prints on here if you don't want to share. Everyone has a right to keep their creations personal and even protected under laws. But this community is all about sharing ideas and creations and just general opensource.

Ok, so it's done by printing in clear, then when it starts to outline the text you pause the print and change your filament out for black. First time I homed the axis' and the print head crashed into the print stuffing up the alignment. I've found if you want to try this method put the print head above the print and give a bit of clearance in Z axis. It will then move in X and Y, then move down Z to meet the print.

Decided to play around with changing filament during prints to produce light bead type effects for lighted signs. Powered off separate power supply which also runs electronics fan, therefore I am now reminded if I forget to turn it on when I am printing.
